As is the case with homeschooling, life happens, and due to other events, we had a short second week; we did accomplished a few things though. We did a scientific experiment on osmosis using potatoes, and it actually worked. The Prairie Primer has instructions on how to do this, but you can find other experiments on the internet, too.
We made hasty pudding, which is not like pudding at all. It's made with cornmeal.
The Ingalls ate it with syrup, but I think it would taste just as good with butter and sugar.
The kids asked me to make little men shaped pancakes for fun just like Ma did one Christmas morning.
My almost-five-year old does copywork, which helps with penmanship and composition.
And the wagon has a cover now, and the kids love to play inside.
